Shedeur Sanders is expected to be one of the top quarterbacks selected in the 2025 NFL draft. It's just a question of how high he will be chosen during the event.

Sanders appears to have fallen behind Cam Ward in the race to be the first quarterback selected. Still, the Colorado product could end up being a top-three selection given the three quarterback-needy teams picking atop the draft.

Which teams represent Sanders' top landing spots? Here's a look at his best potential fits in the 2025 NFL draft.

Shedeur Sanders landing spots

New York Giants

Giants head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen enter the 2025 NFL season on the hot seat. Tommy DeVito is presently the only quarterback on New York's roster, so the Giants are in the market for a big-time upgrade at the position.

The Giants have been tied to Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson and could end up signing one to be their starter in 2025. Even so, the veterans are more stopgap starters and if they flame out, Daboll and Schoen will want to have a young, potential-packed option to pivot to. That should put Sanders in play for the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns are in a tough spot at quarterback. Deshaun Watson hasn't performed well for the team and is in danger of missing the 2025 NFL season after tearing his Achilles twice in the span of a few months. He's also on an albatross contract, making it hard for the Browns to surrender significant financial resources to find an upgrade over Watson.

Cleveland landed Kenny Pickett in a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles to add young, cheap depth behind Watson. They could look to add Sanders as competition for the 26-year-old and a potential long-term replacement for Watson.

Tennessee Titans

Will Levis struggled during his first year in Brian Callahan's offense but the Titans have only added Brandon Allen as potential competition for the 2023 second-round pick. Tennessee, armed with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, has been tied more to Cam Ward than to Sanders, but the Colorado product will still draw consideration if the Titans go with a quarterback.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders traded for Geno Smith during the offseason but he will turn 35 in October. Las Vegas may seek a developmental replacement behind him as a result, and Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson reports Raiders minority owner Tom Brady has "a great amount of respect" for Sanders.

The only question is whether the Raiders would be willing to spend two top-100 picks on quarterbacks after dealing the 92nd overall pick to the Seahawks for Smith.

New York Jets

The Jets aren't as strong a fit for Sanders after inking Justin Fields, 26, to a two-year deal worth up to $40 million. Still, if Aaron Glenn wants strong competition at quarterback, his team could consider selecting Sanders with the seventh overall pick and having him battle for the job with Fields.

Pittsburgh Steelers

If Sanders has an unexpected slide on draft day, the Steelers could find themselves positioned to land the Colorado star. That would be ideal for Pittsburgh, as the team has a significant need at quarterback with Fields gone and Wilson lingering on the free-agent market.

The Steelers have been tied to Rodgers, but there's no guarantee he will play in 2025. Even if he does sign with Pittsburgh, the Steelers will want to add a potential successor behind the 41-year-old. Sanders would be the top option for them to land in that role.
