Jalen Ramsey landing spots: Raiders, Ravens best fits if Dolphins trade CB

Veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey and the Miami Dolphins may be heading for a split after just two seasons together.
Ramsey and the Dolphins "are mutually set to explore trade options," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report.
Ramsey, 30, played 27 games for the Dolphins over his two seasons in Miami. He made the Pro Bowl in 2023 and was graded as Pro Football Focus' 10th-best cornerback during the 2024 campaign.
However, Miami made the playoffs just once during Ramsey's two seasons and failed to win the game. The team appears to be heading for a mini-retool as it looks to get younger on both sides of the ball and build a contender around Tua Tagovailoa.
A Ramsey trade could develop quickly, as Miami would likely prefer to move him before the 2025 NFL draft, which begins April 24. Below is a look at some of the most notable landing spots for Ramsey should he be traded a third time.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders don't have a true No. 1 cornerback on their roster and released Jack Jones – who started 16 games and led the team with three interceptions – in early April. Pete Carroll's Seattle defenses typically relied on strong secondary play to carry them, so the 73-year-old coach would likely be interested in acquiring a player like Ramsey to provide his defense a boost.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have two strong cornerbacks in Nate Wiggins and Marlon Humphrey. Ramsey would create an even more formidable trio while allowing Chidobe Awuzie – a solid dice-roll signing after the Tennessee Titans released him – to become a high-end depth piece.
Baltimore should be loading up to get over the hump in the AFC, and acquiring a tough-minded Super Bowl winner like Ramsey should help them threaten the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills once again in 2025.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cam Taylor-Britt endured a disappointing season for the Bengals, allowing a 118.5 passer rating and being benched at times throughout the campaign. The strong, physical cornerback could bounce back, but it would behoove the Bengals to add more depth and talent at the position in case that doesn't happen.
Ramsey would represent a significant upgrade and his physicality would pair well with DJ Turner, who flashed great speed as a No. 2 cornerback when healthy.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers lost top cornerback Charvarius Ward to the Indianapolis Colts in free agency. Ramsey would be a good, like-for-like replacement from a physicality and toughness standpoint and would create an imposing outside cornerback duo alongside fellow Florida State product Renardo Green.
Add in Deommodore Lenoir in the slot and San Francisco's cornerback trio would remain a strength. It's just a matter of whether the 49ers can afford Ramsey as they prepare to give Brock Purdy a big-money extension.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings re-signed Byron Murphy Jr. in free agency, but they don't have many proven cornerback options beyond him. Veteran Isaiah Rodgers is expected to be the team's No. 2 cornerback with third-year pro Mekhi Blackmon looking to earn playing time, but Ramsey would allow each to settle into more appropriate roles while turning the team's cornerback depth into a strength.
Minnesota only has four picks in the 2025 NFL draft, so swinging a deal for Ramsey won't necessarily be easy. Still, it's fun to imagine what Brian Flores could do with the three-time All-Pro after he got the most out of Stephon Gilmore and Shaq Griffin last season.
Green Bay Packers
Jaire Alexander's future in Green Bay is uncertain. That leaves the Packers in need of a third cornerback to pair with Keisean Nixon and free-agent signing Nate Hobbs.
Both Nixon and Hobbs have performed well in the slot during their careers, so adding a top outside corner like Ramsey would add versatility to Green Bay's defense. Ramsey would also be an upgrade over the oft-injured Alexander, so the Packers – armed with just under $31.7 million in cap space, per OverTheCap.com – could be an ideal fit for the veteran cornerback.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have a great young cornerback tandem in Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, but general manager Howie Roseman can never be counted out from making a big swing. Ramsey would replace Darius Slay and Isaiah Rodgers while giving Philadelphia one of the best cornerback trios in the NFL.
The Eagles have $22.4 million in cap space, so they could make a deal for Ramsey work with relative ease.
Tennessee Titans
Ramsey grew up in Tennessee, so playing for his hometown team can't be ruled out. The Titans need a partner for L'Jarius Sneed after releasing Chidobe Awuzie, and pairing Sneed with Ramsey would give the team an imposing cornerback duo.
