2025 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year: Abdul Carter leads opening odds after NFL draft
Opening odds are out for the 2025 Defensive Rookie of the Year award after the conclusion of the 2025 NFL Draft. Perhaps unsurprisingly, two of the top three overall picks are favorites.
New York Giants edge rusher Abdul Carter leads in odds as of Monday afternoon, two days after the draft's conclusion. Right behind him is Heisman Trophy winner and two-way player Travis Hunter of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hunter is notably also among the favorites to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
Behind the top two are a couple of former stars of the Georgia Bulldogs' defense: edge rusher Mykel Williams and linebacker/edge rusher hybrid Jalon Walker. Former Alabama linebacker and Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick Jihaad Campbell rounds out the top five.
