2025 Packers schedule: Green Bay's opponents ahead of NFL's official release
The Green Bay Packers were expected to take a step toward being a Super Bowl contender last season. Instead, the team stagnated as it attempted to build on its success.
The Packers once again made the NFL playoffs as the No. 7 seed. However, they failed to win a game in the 2024 postseason after upsetting the Dallas Cowboys in the 2023 playoffs and nearly knocking off the eventual NFC champion San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.
That left the Packers looking to improve their roster as they look to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2010 NFL playoffs.
Green Bay's path to achieving that goal? It focused on adding talent around Jordan Love, hoping he will take another step forward in his third season as a starter. That included signing former 49ers left guard Aaron Banks to a big-money contract in free agency and, more notably, spending a first-round pick on a wide receiver (Matthew Golden) for the first time since 2002.
The Packers also upgraded their cornerback room by signing Nate Hobbs to a lucrative free-agent deal. If they can keep Jaire Alexander in the fold and get him healthy, Green Bay may have a better chance to compete with the top teams in the NFC North after lagging slightly behind the 15-2 Detroit Lions and 14-3 Minnesota Vikings last season.

Per usual, the Packers will face each of their NFC North opponents twice during the 2025 season. They will also play each team in the AFC North and NFC East as part of the NFL's rotating schedule.
The Packers' final three opponents – the Broncos, Cardinals and Panthers – were determined based on Green Bay's third-place finish in their division.
When is the 2025 NFL schedule release?
The NFL is set to reveal its 2025 schedule in full on Wednesday, May 14.
The NFL has turned the schedule release into something of a marquee offseason event. On schedule release day, the league announces the 18-week slate of matchups for all 32 teams in its entirety.
This year's schedule release will be held one day earlier than last year's, which was on May 15. The NFL announced the full 2024 schedule at 8 p.m. ET that night, so fans can expect a similar release time for this year's schedule.
