2025 Eagles schedule: Philadelphia's opponents ahead of NFL's official release
The Philadelphia Eagles won their second Super Bowl in franchise history last season. They handily beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl 59 to deny Patrick Mahomes and Co. a three-peat and earn a measure of revenge after losing to them in Super Bowl 57.
Now, the Eagles will look to do what few teams in NFL history have done: repeat as Super Bowl champions.
Doing so won't necessarily be easy for the Eagles. They have lost a solid chunk of the talent that got them to the championship game, particularly on defense. Josh Sweat and Milton Williams left the team in free agency; CJ Gardner-Johnson was traded to the Houston Texans in the offseason; and veteran cornerback Darius Slay was released as a cap casualty early in the offseason.
Howie Roseman was forced to bargain hunt for potential replacements given Philadelphia's salary cap constraints. He made some solid defensive signings, with Azeez Ojulari's one-year deal standing out among the crowd, and spent plenty of resources on defense in the 2025 NFL Draft. That included landing Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell in the draft's first round after trading up one spot to secure his services.
With those replacements in tow, it's safe to assume the Eagles will once again have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL. That should allow them to be competitive against most teams around the league.

The Eagles will face their NFC East divisional opponents twice during the 2025 season, one on the road and one at home. They will also play every AFC West and NFC North team as part of the NFL's rotating yearly schedule.
Philadelphia's final three opponents – the Bills, Buccaneers and Rams – were determined based on the team's first-place finish in their division.
When is the 2025 NFL schedule release?
The NFL is set to reveal its 2025 schedule in full on Wednesday, May 14.
The NFL has turned the schedule release into something of a marquee offseason event. On schedule release day, the league announces the 18-week slate of matchups for all 32 teams in its entirety.
This year's schedule release will be held one day earlier than last year's, which was on May 15. The NFL announced the full 2024 schedule at 8 p.m. ET that night, so fans can expect a similar release time for this year's schedule.
