2025 Cardinals schedule: Arizona's opponents ahead of NFL's official release

The Arizona Cardinals improved in year two under head coach Jonathan Gannon in 2024. They were in contention for a division title before ultimately finishing 8-9 and third in the NFC West.
Arizona took a step forward on both sides of the ball in 2024, more so on defense than offense. The Cardinals' defense jumped from 31st in the league in points allowed to 15th.
That defense could see more improvement in 2025. Arizona signed the top free agent on defense this offseason in edge rusher Josh Sweat, who reunites with his former defensive coordinator Gannon. The two worked together in Philadelphia in 2021 and 2022.
Arizona signed more reinforcements on the defensive line as well bringing in former Cardinal Calais Campbell and fellow veteran Dalvin Tomlinson. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett signed with the team as well to back up starter Kyler Murray.
It was all defense in the Cardinals' draft class. Arizona selected defensive tackle Walter Nolen, edge rusher Jordan Burch and cornerback Will Johnson in the first three rounds of the draft. They added more reinforcements on Day 3 in linebacker Cody Simon, cornerback Denzel Burke and safety Kitan Crawford.
Arizona didn't lose any notable members of the coaching staff. With these upgrades on defense, the team could contend in the NFC West once again.
