The Buffalo Bills are back to the drawing board.

There's no Super Bowl ring to flaunt or even an appearance to talk about. Instead, it's just the missed opportunities and misfortune that dominate the talk of the town in Buffalo.

The Bills are staring down another 18-week sprint before getting the chance to exorcise their playoff demons.

Josh Allen got a lot richer this offseason, agreeing to a six-year deal worth $330 million. Buffalo will hope that investment is enough to buy them those two elusive wins at the end of the postseason.

Until that time, it's a return to the regular season.

Here's a look at the opponents who stand in their way for 2025.

Bills 2025 opponents

Here's the full list of Bills opponents for 2025:

Home

Road

  • Atlanta Falcons
  • Carolina Panthers
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Houston Texans
  • Miami Dolphins
  • New England Patriots
  • New York Jets
  • Pittsburgh Steelers

Like every season, the Bills will face off against their division foes – the Jets, Patriots and Dolphins – at home and on the road. This year they'll also take on the AFC North and NFC South teams as part of the NFL's rotating schedule.

The Chiefs, Eagles and Texans close out the slate of opponents for the Bills in 2025. Those teams were determined by the Bills' first-place finish in their division.

Thanks to the NFL's unbalanced schedule, it's the AFC's turn for an extra home game this season. Buffalo gets the added benefit of an additional home game, playing in front of Bills Mafia nine times in the regular season.

When is the 2025 NFL schedule release?

The 2025 NFL schedule release is slated in full on Wednesday, May 14.

It has essentially become the final marquee offseason event of the NFL calendar, representing the official turning of the page to next season.

All 32 teams will see their entire 18-week roadmap to the 2025 regular season revealed on schedule release day. Leaks will trickle out in the days leading up to it, but the fall calendar will begin to take shape after the official release.

This year's schedule release will be held one day earlier than last year's, which was on May 15. The NFL announced the 2024 schedule at 8 p.m. ET that night, so fans can expect a similar release time for this year's schedule.
