2025 Buccaneers schedule: Tampa Bay's opponents ahead of NFL's official release
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the NFC South for the fourth year in a row in 2024 in a 10-7 season. They fell short in the playoffs in the wild-card round, losing 23-20 to the Washington Commanders.
Tampa Bay could become the first team to win five consecutive NFC South titles in 2025.
There are some question marks on offense. Coordinator Liam Coen moved on to take the head coach job with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Passing game coordinator Josh Grizzard was promoted in his stead to coordinate the offense in 2025; he'll be the fourth different offensive coordinator in Tampa Bay in the last four years.
The Buccaneers' offensive personnel will return in 2025 with one key addition: first-round pick Emeka Egbuka at wide receiver. The Ohio State product is considered one of the most pro-ready wideouts in the rookie class and could immediately add another wrinkle to the passing game.
Tampa Bay didn't lose key players in free agency but also didn't bring in any big names beyond edge rusher Haason Reddick. The Buccaneers had one of the worst punting units in the league last season and brought in a new punter in Riley Dixon.
After Egbuka in the first round, Tampa Bay spent a lot of their draft capital on defense. Cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Jacob Parrish, edge rusher David Walker and defensive lineman Elijah Roberts should help a unit that finished middle-of-the-pack in most defensive statistics.
