Bills schedule 2025: Buffalo win-loss record predictions

It's Groundhog Day for the Buffalo Bills.

As a new season approaches, the team finds itself in a familiar spot – good, but not good enough. The playoff exits are all the same and four of the last five have come at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bills and Chiefs have developed into something that resembles more of a sibling rivalry. However, those usually come with at least one sympathy win when the sibling starts to feel bad.

Roger Goodell isn't playing the parent role here though and he won't be forcing the Chiefs to let the Bills win at some point.

Buffalo has to take it. Being a regular season juggernaut isn't good enough anymore.

Josh Allen might be a superhero on the football field, but eventually he has to defeat the villain. Every era features a player or team that could never get over the hump. If the Bills don't want to be forever known as that team, the buck stops here.

The slate of opponents looks favorable and there are no big subtractions from the roster to worry about. It all lines up for the Bills to strike while the Chiefs appear to be weak. Buffalo will ultimately be judged for their postseason results. That doesn't mean they can't stack some wins and put together another great regular season before getting to that point.

Paste BN Sports is predicting the Bills' record as the 2025 NFL schedule release approaches.

Bills record prediction 2025

Record prediction: 12-5

It's no secret that the Bills are one of the best teams in the AFC. Does that mean they can waltz into the playoffs without any issues?

The official answer won't come for many months, but variance is a real thing in the NFL. Buffalo went 13-4 a year ago and sports an improved roster, particularly on defense.

Allen has never shown much regard for his own body, but he might want to shy away from some of those bigger hits going forward after dealing with multiple ailments last season. He's been remarkably durable since entering the league, however, Buffalo's outlook takes a significant hit if Allen is sidelined as those hits pile up.

More importantly, Buffalo has played a lot of football in recent years, despite not appearing in the Super Bowl. They have a easy road ahead on paper, set to play the fifth-easiest schedule during the 2025 NFL season, per Sharp Football Analysis.

There are always surprise teams and a pair of them could be in their own division. The Jets and Patriots both brought in coaches – Aaron Glenn and Mike Vrabel – that design their teams to play a tough, physical style. In other words, those might not be free, or easy, wins this season.

The Bills should cruise to another division title if they stay healthy. Buffalo's ceiling is probably 14 wins, but given the ebbs and flows of a NFL season, we'll settle in at 12 for Allen and co.
