Broncos schedule 2025: Denver win-loss record predictions

The Denver Broncos snapped a nine-year playoff drought during the 2024 NFL season. While rookie Bo Nix deserved a lot of credit for his strong rookie season, the Broncos' success stemmed more from their defensive performance.
Denver ranked first in defensive EPA during the 2024 NFL season and saw cornerback Patrick Surtain II win the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year award. The team sported a strong pass rush and an opportunistic, ball-hawking secondary that allowed it to give opposing offenses fits.
Despite their stellar performance in 2024, the Broncos still invested significant resources into their defense. They spent big money to lure Talanoa Hufanga, a physical safety with good ball skills, and Dre Greenlaw – a downhill, playmaking and high-level run stopper – away from the San Francisco 49ers in free agency.
Denver also spent its first round pick on Jim Thorpe-winning cornerback Jahdae Barron, who led the SEC in interceptions during his final season.
As a result of those moves, the Broncos figure to once again have one of the NFL's best defenses. Will that be enough for Denver to repeat its success and reach the postseason for a second consecutive year? Paste BN Sports is predicting the Broncos' record as the 2025 NFL schedule release approaches.

Record prediction: 11-6
The Broncos may play in one of the AFC's toughest divisions, but they are still poised to enjoy a quality 2025 season and could emerge as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
What will it take for that to happen? Denver's defense will need to continue to play at a high level. That should be doable, as they have virtually no glaring weaknesses on that side of the ball. They should be able to be among the league's best teams at forcing turnovers and generating sacks in 2025.
Denver's offense also figures to be solid, though questions exist about the Broncos' running game. No Broncos player totaled more than Javonte Williams' 513 rushing yards last season, which prompted Denver to spend a second-round pick on UCF's RJ Harvey. The 5-8, 205-pound back has a compact build and good contact balance, so he should provide a true top back for the team's offense.
Shoring up that weakness could also open up more opportunities for Nix to make plays. So long as he doesn't take a step back, that should allow Denver's offense to be more efficient and productive this season.
While the Broncos have a good-looking roster, their strength of schedule ranks 14th league-wide, per Sharp Football Analysis. That's largely thanks to Denver's eight games against teams that made the playoffs last season.
Despite the middle-of-the-pack schedule, the Broncos could improve upon their 10-7 mark from last season. They have a great defense, a strong home-field advantage and enough matchups with teams like the Giants and Titans to give them a high floor.
Will that be enough to end the Chiefs' run of nine consecutive AFC West titles? Maybe not, but the Broncos should still have a great chance to make the playoffs again in 2025.
