Raiders schedule 2025: Las Vegas win-loss record predictions

In 2024, the Las Vegas Raiders started out 2-2 with an early-season win over AFC contender Baltimore. Things unraveled from there as the team went 2-11 the rest of the way to finish with its fewest wins since 2018.
Las Vegas had retained interim head coach Antonio Pierce for the 2024 season and things took a downward turn. Both the offense and defense regressed and Pierce was fired following the regular season.
That was the first step in a major overhaul for the franchise this offseason. Las Vegas hired Super Bowl-winning coach Pete Carroll who most recently spent 14 seasons as the Seattle Seahawks' head coach (2010-23). The Raiders brought in John Spytek, formerly the assistant general manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as the franchise's new general manager.
They set to work re-shaping the team even before the NFL draft. Carroll reunited with former Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith as the Raiders traded a third-round draft pick for the two-time Pro Bowler. Las Vegas signed multiple likely starters on defense in free agency, including linebackers Devin White and Elandon Roberts, safety Jeremy Chinn and cornerback Eric Stokes.
Las Vegas invested on offense early and often in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders selected running back Ashton Jeanty in Round 1 and wide receiver Jack Bech in Round 2. Both could be key pieces for an offensive turnaround under new coordinator Chip Kelly.
This team has stars on both sides of the ball in tight end Brock Bowers and defensive end Maxx Crosby. These new additions to the staff and roster could push the team closer to contention but will have to hang in what was a tough AFC West division last season.

Record prediction: 6-11
We fully expect Las Vegas to take a step forward on both sides of the ball but especially on offense. Bringing in Smith and Jeanty as well as Kelly as the offensive coordinator should yield solid results; they should be better than 29th in the NFL in scoring this season.
The downside for Las Vegas is they're in one of the toughest divisions in the league. The other three AFC West teams all made the playoffs in 2024 and all have more reason to improve than not this year.
Las Vegas will also play the AFC South and NFC East due to the NFL's rotating schedule. Road matchups against the Texans, Eagles and Commanders could be tough, even with an improvement on offense.
The Raiders went winless in AFC West play in 2024 for the first time since 2006. We believe they should bank one win this year.
Home games against the Jaguars, Titans, Giants and Browns are good to balance out those tough road matchups. Facing the Patriots in year one of their rebuild as well should be another opportunity for a win.
They'll improve in the win column but this team still feels at least one more offseason away from a winning record and playoff contention.
