Seahawks schedule 2025: Seattle win-loss record predictions

The Seattle Seahawks came extremely close to their first NFC West title since 2020 last season. With both the Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams at 10-7 at the end of Week 18, the Rams needed tiebreakers to secure the division crown and a spot in the NFC playoffs.

Seattle's first year under coach Mike Macdonald saw marked improvement on defense. That unit jumped from 25th in points allowed to 11th in 2024.

The offense was around league-average under coordinator Ryan Grubb and the Seahawks did not retain him for 2025. In his place, Seattle hired former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

After that hire, Seattle made more roster changes than most any other team in the NFL. The Seahawks traded quarterback Geno Smith to Las Vegas and dealt wide receiver DK Metcalf to Pittsburgh, both for draft picks. They landed top free agent quarterback Sam Darnold to lead the offense in 2025 and signed on receivers Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

In the draft, the team invested heavily in offense, starting in Round 1 with offensive lineman Grey Zabel. Tight end Elijah Arroyo (Round 2) and wide receiver Tory Horton (Round 5) could get involved in the offense as promising rookie talents.

The offense will look very different in 2025. Will that be enough for Seattle to push through in a likely very competitive NFC West? Paste BN Sports predicts the Seahawks' record as the 2025 NFL schedule release nears.

Record prediction: 9-8

Seattle's change in offensive staff should lean into Darnold's strengths and the offensive line should take a step forward under Kubiak and with Zabel in the building. There are so many new faces which makes it hard to feel confident how much better this offense will be by the end of the season.

Their NFC West schedule won't be a cakewalk, as usual, with the Cardinals' investment on defense, the 49ers' likely improved health and defending champion Los Angeles fielding a young, rising defense.

Seattle gets a bit of a break in its out-of-division slate. The Seahawks will face the AFC South and NFC South; those divisions have as many new coaches in 2025 combined (two) as playoff teams from 2024.

We think they'll take a step back in division play but will make up for it with their other games. Road matchups may be tougher but games against the Jaguars, Titans and Panthers could be good opportunities, as will home games against the Colts and Saints.
