Buccaneers schedule 2025: Tampa Bay win-loss record predictions

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won another NFC South title in 2024, their fourth in a row, but fell short in the wild-card round of the playoffs to the Washington Commanders.

That playoff loss was the final game in a tough year for the Buccaneers who persevered through many major injuries, especially on offense, to finish the season as a top-five scoring offense for the first time under coach Todd Bowles.

They could become the first franchise to win five consecutive NFC South titles in 2025 but will have to deal with some turnover, primarily on the coaching staff. The team will have a new offensive coordinator for the fourth consecutive year after the Jaguars hired Liam Coen as their new head coach.

Tampa Bay promoted passing game coordinator Josh Grizzard in his place.

The offense will have a potential upgrade in top draft pick Emeka Egbuka. He'll bolster a wide receiver room led by longtime starters Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Both dealt with injuries last year and Egbuka should be a safety net in case either miss time again in 2025.

Tampa Bay spent on defense in free agency by bringing in edge rusher Haason Reddick and then even more in the NFL draft. The team invested in the secondary with cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Jacob Parrish as well as defensive linemen David Walker and Elijah Roberts.

Buccaneers record prediction 2025

Record prediction: 9-8

Despite winning their division last season, the Buccaneers have one of the easier schedules in the league per Sharp Football Analysis.

The other NFC South teams are facing uncertainty in some area. New Orleans is under a new coaching regime with questions at quarterback; Atlanta has a new defensive coordinator after struggling on that side of the ball in 2024; Carolina played well down the stretch in 2024 but still only tallied five wins on the year.

Tampa Bay will likely have a winning record in divisional play, as they did last year. Now it's down to the rest of the schedule.

The Buccaneers will face teams from the AFC East and NFC West. Games against the Bills and Rams on the road will be tough. Because they won the division in 2024, Tampa Bay will also face the Eagles at home as well as the Lions and Texans on the road.

That's a tough out-of-division slate for Tampa Bay to get through. We're banking on a 4-2 record in NFC South play to be a solid foundation for the rest of the season. They'll have a tough time against top Super Bowl contenders but will finish with a winning record and likely the NFC South title once again.
