Chiefs 2025 schedule: Games, dates, predictions for upcoming season

The Kansas City Chiefs have won the AFC three seasons in a row, and four times in the last five years. Can they do it again in 2025?

The Chiefs are returning most of the core that has turned them into a dynasty. Patrick Mahomes will lead the team's offense, and he will have plenty of offensive weapons at his disposal, including. Hollywood Brown, Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy.

The bigger question is about whether the Chiefs can properly protect Mahomes. He was pressured relentlessly in the team's Super Bowl 59 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, so Kansas City decided to remake the left side of its offensive line as a result. Jaylon Moore and Josh Simmons will battle for playing time at left tackle while Kingsley Suamataia will replace All-Pro Joe Thuney at left guard.

It will be interesting to see these changes in action, but either way, the Chiefs should remain one of the top contenders in the AFC. They will be challenged by a tough schedule in 2025, but Andy Reid's squad has proven consistently it is up to the task of perennially proving itself.

Here's a look at Kansas City's schedule for 2025 and a prediction for the team's season.

Chiefs record prediction 2025

Record prediction: 12-5

The Chiefs have posted a winning record in all 12 of Andy Reid's seasons in charge of the team. It's hard to imagine that streak coming to an end given the roster's current construction.

Mahomes hasn't been as prolific a passer in recent seasons compared to the early stages of his career, but he remains one of the NFL's best playmaking quarterbacks. His clutch abilities throwing and scrambling have helped Kansas City win countless games over its dynastic run.

Meanwhile, Steve Spagnuolo has turned Kansas City's defense into an effective, playmaking unit that balances well with the team's offense. That has given the Chiefs a wider variety of ways to win, which has come in handy when Kansas City's offense has had issues against tougher, shell coverage details.

All that's to say, the Chiefs are going to be good. It's just a question of how good they'll be as they face the sixth-toughest schedule in the NFL for 2025, per Sharp Football Analysis.

The good news for the Chiefs? Most of their toughest non-divisional opponents are on Kansas City's home schedule. That will make their dates with the Commanders, Eagles, Lions, Ravens and Texans slightly easier.

So, as long as Mahomes stays healthy, the Chiefs should once again have a great season. Expect them to maintain control of the AFC West and challenge for a 10th consecutive divisional title.
