It's beginning to look a lot like football, or Christmas, depending on who you ask.

The NFL's latest holiday takeover delivered last season with a doubleheader, exclusively on Netflix. This year, the league is putting an even bigger present under the tree for fans with a tripleheader on the way.

Time will tell whether the six lucky contestants will be in the midst of their happiest seasons, given the games are so far away. A lot can change between now and then, but the NFL awarded the Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs the honor of playing on the biggest holiday of the year.

On the surface, there's a good chance that most, if not all, of those teams are postseason bound if things break right provided they don't wake up with coal in their stockings.

Now that Christmas plans are taken care of, get ready to cozy up by the fire and surround yourself with the ones you love. There are parties to be hosted, footballs to be throwing and chanting in the upper, and lower, bowls.

After all, it's the most wonderful time of the year. Here's a look at the Christmas day slate in 2025.

NFL Christmas schedule 2025

Below is a look at who drew into the NFL's Christmas Day tripleheader for 2025.

Commanders vs. Cowboys

  • Time: 1 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Netflix
  • Venue: Northwest Stadium

Christmas in the district. Well, sort of. The Commanders renew their rivalry against the Cowboys at home in Maryland, in what is just the latest example of their return to relevancy. Washington is all over the national slate in 2025 and for good reason. Everything has coming up Commanders lately. Fans will hope that carries over into the season, while the Cowboys aim to right their ship after a disappointing 2024.

Vikings vs. Lions

  • Time: 4:30 p.m. ET
  • Stream: Netflix
  • Venue: U.S. Bank Stadium

It might be cold outside in Minnesota when this game takes place, but the heat will be turned all the way up inside U.S. Bank Stadium when these NFC North rivals meet. The Lions and Vikings clashed in a Week 18 game last year for the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which started the Vikings' end-of-season spiral. They'll look to avenge that loss this year and make it a blue Christmas for the Lions.

Chiefs vs. Broncos

  • Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
  • Steam: Prime Video
  • Venue: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium

The Chiefs will be Mahomes for Christmas in 2025. After Patrick Mahomes and co. traveled to Pittsburgh for a battle against the Steelers, this year it's the home faithful that get to celebrate in style. An AFC West divisional clash awaits against the Broncos, who surprised in 2024. Coming off a playoff appearance, they'll be looking to take the next step against their foes from Kansas City.
