Tampa Bay has a shot at franchise history this upcoming season after a 10-7 campaign in 2024 netted another NFC South title.

The Buccaneers can become the first team in NFC South history to win five consecutive division titles. They won their latest crown in 2024 behind an improved offense under coordinator Liam Coen. They'll have to replicate that success without Coen on the sidelines in 2025; former passing game coordinator Josh Grizzard filled the role to become the Buccaneers' fourth offensive coordinator of the last four years.

Tampa Bay could have a good offense once again thanks to the addition of wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, the team's top draft pick. He adds to wide receiver room with proven veterans Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. On defense, reinforcements from free agency and the draft could see some improvement after falling to league-average in 2024.

Record prediction: 9-8

Tampa Bay will face the rest of the NFC South twice in 2025 and all three have big question marks entering the year. New Orleans has a new coaching staff and question mark at quarterback, Atlanta has a new defensive coordinator and Carolina needs to prove its late-season improvement is a sign of things to come.

The Buccaneers should have a winning record in the division based on talent alone. Even if it's 4-2, that sets them up well for the rest of the schedule.

Per the NFL schedule rotation, Tampa Bay will face AFC East and NFC West teams in 2025 as well as the division winners from the AFC South (Houston), NFC North (Detroit) and NFC East (Philadelphia).

Road games against the Bills, Rams, Texans and Lions will be no easy out. Same for a home date against the Eagles.

Still, with the continuity in personnel on offense and investment on defense, Tampa Bay should reach enough wins to reach or nearly secure a record fifth consecutive NFC South title.
