The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting their first OTA session of the offseason Tuesday. Aaron Rodgers is not expected to be in attendance for the event.

Rodgers has often been linked to the Steelers during the 2025 NFL offseason. Pittsburgh owner Art Rooney II has expressed confidence the team will eventually reach an agreement with the four-time MVP while Rodgers hinted at a recent event he is planning to join the Steelers.

However, a deal between the two parties has not been reached, and there is no timetable for Rodgers to decide about his future.

Since Rodgers is a free agent, he is not required to attend any Steelers offseason events, despite the flirtations with the team throughout the offseason.

Rodgers noted in an April appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" that personal matters were holding him back from making a decision about the 2025 NFL season. Sportswriter Ian O'Connor, who published a Rodgers biography in 2024, believes the quarterback's "personal issues" could be cleared up by June.

That could align with the Steelers' hopes of adding a fourth quarterback to their roster ahead of camp, a goal general manager Omar Khan has spoken about during the 2025 offseason. Currently, Pittsburgh has just three signal-callers on its roster: Mason Rudolph, Will Howard and Skylar Thompson.

Steelers OTAs will consist of six sessions over two weeks. The first set will run from Tuesday, May 27 to Thursday, May 29 while the second week will begin on Tuesday, June 3 and wrap up on Thursday, June 5.

If Rodgers doesn't sign during OTAs, the next major event on the Steelers' calendar will be the team's mandatory minicamp. That will run from Tuesday, June 10 to Thursday, June 12.
