Eagles QB Jalen Hurts to release debut children's book, 'Better Than a Touchdown'

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has compiled an impressive string of wins throughout 2025 — and added another to his ledger on Monday.
Hurts won Super Bowl 59 and Super Bowl MVP in February and revealed in April to Men's Health that he had married longtime girlfriend Bry Burrows. The couple celebrated their marriage in style in early June and, on June 23, Hurts announced the release of his first children's book.
Hurts revealed on "The Today Show" that he'll be releasing the book, illustrated by Nneka Myers. The book is titled, “Better Than a Touchdown.” The story, written by Hurts, is said to capture the themes of friendship and teamwork.
Hurts shared a photo of the cover on social media.
“Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve brought into my adult life were passed down to me during childhood, like the importance of doing something bigger than yourself,” Hurts told TODAY on June 23. “I’m excited to share some of that wisdom with a new generation of kids in, 'Better Than a Touchdown.'”
The book is available for preorder on Penguin Random House for $19.99 and is scheduled for release on March 10, 2026.
