When does NFL season start? NFL Week 1 schedule, TV channels, how to watch

The 2025-26 NFL season will be here before we know it.

It's never too early to start preparing for the games.

And the first week of the season includes some very big games.

The NFL Week 1 schedule kicks off with the Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football Sept. 4 before featuring the Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil on Friday, Sept. 5.

Sunday, Sept. 7, features 13 games, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons early, the Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers late and the Baltimore Ravens at Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football.

The Week 1 NFL schedule concludes with the Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football on Sept. 8.
