Brock Purdy, wife Jenna announce birth of girl: 'Life just became a whole lot sweeter'
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and his wife, Jenna Purdy, announced the birth of their first child on social media on July 28.
The couple posted a photo of themselves holding the baby, named Millie Joleen Purdy.
The post included the caption: "Life just became a whole lot sweeter."
Brock Purdy, who went to Gilbert Perry High in Arizona, is the 49ers' starting quarterback.
He was excused from 49ers practice on Friday. On Sunday, he was back at practice and seen receiving congratulations from teammates.
Brock Purdy and Jenna Purdy were married on March 9, 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa. They met at Iowa State, where Brock Purdy played college football and Jenna Purdy played volleyball.
“Yeah, Brock had some family stuff (Saturday),” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Sunday after practice, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “All good news. I'm sure he'll tell you guys when he talks to you guys next.
"But, yeah, Brock was back and didn't miss a beat, and it was a good day off for him.”
