Colin Kaepernick to get jump on training with Kurt Warner

Colin Kaepernick isn't wasting time trying to rebound from a frustrating season -- and he'll be getting help from a pretty good authority.

The San Francisco 49ers' quarterback is scheduled to begin training Monday at the EXOS facility in Phoenix under the watch of former MVP Kurt Warner, among others.

After signing a contract extension in the offseason, Kaepernick saw his passer rating dip to 86.4 and took 52 sacks in his second full season starting for the 49ers, who missed the playoffs and will have a new coach next season after Jim Harbaugh left for Michigan.

Kaepernick contacted EXOS about working out in the offseason, and the elite training facility's Arizona-based quarterback coach, Dennis Gile, made the connection with Warner, who finished his career with the Cardinals.

Kaepernick, 27, will have some good targets to throw to as well. New York Giants rookie sensation Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to spend time at EXOS in a few weeks, and several of the 2015 draft's top prospects will train there in advance of next month's scouting combine.
