Reggie Bush agrees to terms with San Francisco

After visiting the New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints this week, Reggie Bush has found his new home, reaching agreement with the San Francisco 49ers, a person familiar with the deal told Paste BN Sports Saturday.

That person spoke on condition of confidentiality since the club has yet to announce the deal, first reported by ESPN.

Bush, 30, still boasts game-changing speed as a third-down change-of-pace threat who will help offset the loss of franchise rushing leader Frank Gore in a rotation with expected starter Carlos Hyde and backup Kendall Hunter.

The former second overall pick in the 2006 draft is coming off an injury-plagued season for the Detroit Lions when he missed five games, rushing for just 297 yards and two touchdowns, but he added 40 catches for 253 yards.

Bush totaled 1,006 rushing yards in 2013, his first season with the Lions and his second 1,000-yard season in the last four years.

The former Saint, Miami Dolphin and Lions back has rushed for 5,465 yards with 35 touchdowns in nine seasons and has 3,489 receiving yards and 18 more scores.
