Bears pay tribute to victims of Paris terror attacks
CHICAGO – The Chicago Bears paid a subtle but powerful tribute to victims of the Paris terror attacks before Sunday’s game.
A member of the Army’s Golden Knights carried the French flag as the parachute team dropped into Soldier Field. Other members of the team carried the U.S., Army and Bears flags as they jumped.
The game against the Denver Bronco’s was Chicago’s first at home since the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris, which killed 130 people. Security has been tightened at all NFL stadiums in the aftermath of the attacks, which included three suicide bombings outside the Stade de France while France and Germany’s national soccer teams were playing a friendly.
