Josh Sitton signs with Bears after being cut by Packers; Robbie Gould cut
The Green Bay Packers moved on from Josh Sitton, but the all-pro guard didn't leave the NFC North.
Sitton joined the rival Chicago Bears with a three-year, $21.75 million contract, a person with knowledge of the deal told Paste BN Sports on Sunday night.
The deal includes $10 million in guarantees, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because details were to remain private.
In a corresponding roster move, the Bears released-all-time leading scorer Robbie Gould, their longtime kicker.
Sitton, 30, wasn't as dominant in 2015 as 2014. But it was still a stunning move when the Packers let him go in their final cuts Saturday.
He joins a Bears team that lost a key interior player, Hroniss Grasu, with a season-ending knee injury early in camp.
