Bills' Fred Jackson likely to miss rest of season
The disappointing season of Fred Jackson probably took one final downward turn Sunday in a 15-12 loss to the St. Louis Rams when he suffered a sprained knee and is likely sidelined the rest of the year.
An MRI revealed a slight tear of his MCL in his right knee, and the initial prognosis was 2-3 weeks. The Bills have only three games left, so it makes no sense to rush Jackson back for what will be a meaningless season finale.
With Jackson shelved, coach Chan Gailey said C.J. Spiller will have to pick up more of the running game load, a statement that has Bills fans everywhere smiling. Not that Jackson is hurt, but that Gailey will now be forced to utilize Spiller more.
