Karlos Williams cleared to return to practice with Buffalo Bills
Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams passed his physical and was activated by the team Monday, moves that ended his gluttony-related hiatus that he pinned on his pregnant fiance.
The second-year running back showed up to training camp out of shape and about 20 pounds overweight. He told reporters that the added pounds were due to the fact he didn’t want his fiancé to snack alone as she was with child.
Williams was on Bills’ active/non-football illness list from the start of training camp. He focused on his conditioning off the field in the first two weeks of camp before he returned to practice with the rest of his teammates on Monday.
Williams has more than just the preseason to get back into playing shape. The NFL announced in July that Williams would be suspended the first four games of the season for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
