Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel lied to the team about the partying video that appeared last week, according to a report on Thursday.
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer said Manziel told the team it was an old video and tried to get his friends to lie for him.
That is why coach Mike Pettine demoted Manziel from starter to third-string quarterback on Tuesday, the report said.
“I already addressed it (Wednesday)," Pettine said Friday, declining to go into specifics. "I said trust and accountability was where we had a shortfall. Like I said, I have nothing more to add.”
The Browns host the Batimore Ravens on Monday night.
