DeShone Kizer returns to Browns game after rib injury

Cleveland Browns quarterback DeShone Kizer returned to Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions after taking a hit to the midsection in the third quarter.

He was initially listed as questionable with a rib injury, but returned to action late in the fourth quarter.

Kizer walked with trainers to the locker room after Lions cornerback Quandre Diggs delivered the hit on a blitz.

He was replaced in the game by Cody Kessler.

The second-round rookie from Notre Dame completed 15 of 24 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown before his exit. He also had seven carries for 57 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
