Browns rookie QB David Blough issues $250 challenge after comically low Madden rating
For Purdue or Cleveland Browns fans thinking of using David Blough in the upcoming Madden NFL 20 video game, maybe don't.
Blough, who signed as an undrafted free agent with the Browns, was given a 48 overall rating in the game. It is the lowest rating of any rookie quarterback in the game.
The low rating prompted Blough, who threw for 3,521 yards and 25 touchdowns in his senior year at Purdue, to issue a challenge, promising $250 to any player who could turn his virtual persona into an MVP and Super Bowl champion.
The only caveat is the wins must come while playing in Madden's hardest setting.
Blough's His 3,521 yards ranked behind only Dwayne Haskins, who holds a 72 rating. His numbers are ahead of players ranked ahead of him like former Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorson (56) and Penn State's former quarterback, Trace McSorley (55).
