The Cleveland Browns have agreed to terms on a contract with their first-round pick, defensive lineman Mason Graham, according to his agents Tuesday.

According to the Browns' official transactions page, Graham is the second 2025 draftee to get a deal done with the team. Fifth-round quarterback Shedeur Sanders had previously signed his contract last week.

Graham, 21, was Cleveland's selection with the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The former Michigan star was the second defensive lineman taken in the draft after the New York Giants took defensive end Abdul Carter with the No. 3 pick.

The team previously announced Graham will wear jersey No. 94 for the Browns.

The Browns started the draft with the No. 2 pick but traded back with the Jacksonville Jaguars to accumulate extra draft picks. Graham was the first player they chose with one of their new picks.

Here's how Graham's contract looks after he and Cleveland agreed to terms Tuesday:

Mason Graham contract details

  • Length: 4 years; fifth-year option eligible
  • Value: $40.9 million ($10.2 million AAV)

As with the NFL's other rookie contract, Graham's deal with the Browns has a slotted value – his draft position determines his contract value. As a result, his full contract value is about $8 million less than first overall pick and Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward.
