Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady played 95% of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offensive snaps this season and started all of his team's 20 games, but the quarterback might not have been 100% healthy for all of them.

Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians told reporters on Thursday that Brady will have a minor procedure on his knee during the offseason.

Arians described the operation as “a clean-up,” so it’s not expected to hinder the availability of Brady, 43, for the 2021 season. It’s unclear when the injury occurred because he wasn’t on the injury report for a knee injury at any point this season.

Brady’s knee certainly didn’t seem to bother him in the least during the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl run. He threw 10 touchdown passes and only three interceptions in four postseason games, with a passer rating of 98.1.

Brady has already said he’ll “definitely” consider playing beyond 45. With his longevity and durability, there’s no reason to doubt him.
