Buccaneers QB Kyle Trask might finally be active for his 1st regular-season NFL game
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers spent their second-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft on Florida quarterback Kyle Trask, hoping to give themselves a longer-term backup plan for Tom Brady.
Trask hasn't had much to do since, a healthy scratch for every regular-season game of his career so far, as he continues to take a back seat to Brady's veteran backup, Blaine Gabbert.

That streak appears to be coming to an end, as Trask should be active for Thursday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
It has little to do with Trask himself, though, as the Bucs have already ruled out seven players for Thursday night's game due to injury.

Each week, every team can dress 46 of their 53 active players, which means Trask shouldn't need to be a healthy scratch this week with seven players already ruled out.
Unless the Bucs make a late move putting a player on injured reserve, Trask should be active for the first regular-season NFL game of his career, halfway through his second season.
