Cardinals coach Bruce Arians wonders 'are the scars too deep' for Robert Griffin III?
Free agent quarterback Robert Griffin III has undergone two reconstructive knee surgeries over the years, although Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said he’s more worried about some other “scars.”
“For me right now, it would have to be going back and looking in his eyes and finding out, are the scars too deep?” Arians told Cleveland.com at the NFL annual meetings on Wednesday. “But talent-wise? He's got all the talent in the world."
The Washington Redskins released Griffin earlier this month, ending a mostly tumultuous four-year run with the team. Griffin has visited the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets.
Arians, whose words were as vibrant as the plaid blazer he wore to the NFC coaches breakfast, hit on a several other topics, including re-signing tight end Jermaine Gresham and running back Chris Johnson.
