Terry McLaurin landing spots: Could Cardinals trade for Commanders WR?

Terry McLaurin has requested a trade from the Washington Commanders after failing to receive a contract extension, prompting rumors and speculation about potential landing spots for the dynamic wide receiver.
The Arizona Cardinals are included on several lists of possible trade destinations for the 29-year-old receiver, who had 82 catches for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns in the regular season last year.
Could the Cardinals really trade for McLaurin, pairing him with Marvin Harrison Jr. at wide receiver and giving Kyler Murray another pass-catching threat, along with Trey McBride?
Check out what NFL writers are saying about McLaurin's possible fit in Arizona.
Paste BN Sports: Arizona Cardinals a potential landing spot for Terry McLaurin
Jacob Camenker writes: "The Cardinals have Marvin Harrison Jr. in the fold as their long-term No. 1 receiver option. Why not add another former Ohio State star to the fold in McLaurin? He would be an upgrade over Michael Wilson, who generated 47 catches, 548 yards and four touchdowns as the team's No. 2 wide-out last season, and could open up more space in which Harrison can operate. Having Harrison, McLaurin and Trey McBride as top targets could allow Kyler Murray to enjoy the best season of his career. The Cardinals also have the cap space ($35.5 million, fifth-most in the NFL, per OverTheCap.com) needed to offer McLaurin a lucrative extension."
The Score: Arizona Cardinals possible trade destination for Terry McLaurin
Caio Miari writes: "A McLaurin trade would be great for the Cardinals in many ways. While Arizona boasts an interesting trio in Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, and Greg Dortch, none of them are established stars yet. Of course, the expectation is that Harrison becomes a perennial Pro Bowler, but his rookie year left something to be desired. McLaurin would help take pressure off Harrison and give the Cardinals a lethal receiving duo, assuming Harrison meets the sky-high expectations surrounding him. But even if Harrison fails to break out again in Year 2, McLaurin would still serve as a proven WR1 for Kyler Murray and Co."
Pro Football Network: Arizona Cardinals should trade for Terry McLaurin
Alex Hanczar writes: "Cardinals rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. ended his opening NFL season fashionably as he went for 60 yards or more four times in the club’s final ten games. Adding a veteran like McLaurin to the mix would give quarterback Kyler Murray potentially the best vertical options he’s had in his entire career. Holding more than $35 million in cap space, the Cardinals could have just what it takes to add the unhappy Commander."
For the Win: Arizona Cardinals would be great fit for Terry McLaurin
Cory Woodroof writes: "If the Commanders would be comfortable sending McLaurin to another NFC team, the Cardinals would be an excellent option for him. McLaurin's presence would take pressure off both quarterback Kyler Murray and wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. He would give Murray the best receiver he's had in ages, and he would give Harrison a bit less pressure to carry things in the passing game alongside tight end Trey McBride. Wide receiver Michael Wilson would be a nice piece for the Commanders to add if they deem trading McLaurin in the franchise's best interests."
Sporting News: Arizona Cardinals among best trade fits for Terry McLaurin
Vinnie Iyer writes: "The Cardinals are also thin at wide receiver and could use a veteran presence to take pressure off second-year man Marvin Harrison Jr., who's working to live up to the massive hype as a top target for Kyler Murray in Year 2. Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch are next on the depth chart, and Arizona is looking at more than $35 million in available cap space."
