The Mahomes family is adding another eligible receiver to the formation.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany Matthews revealed Sunday on social media that they are expecting their second child.
The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Sterling, on Feb. 20, 2021. In Mahomes' Instagram post Sunday that was captioned "Round 2!", baby Sterling and Matthews held a sign saying "Big Sister Duties ... Coming Soon." Mahomes also shared a picture of the trio holding an ultrasound.
Mahomes and Matthews tied the knot in Hawaii this past offseason after he proposed in September 2020. They have been a couple since high school in Texas.
