NFL to auction game-worn jerseys from Chiefs vs. Buccaneers to benefit Hurricane Ian relief efforts

The NFL is helping relief efforts for Floridians in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
In addition to matching the $1 million contributed by the Buccaneers ownership, the league is doing something special surrounding the Week 4 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The NFL will auction off jerseys worn by players on both teams with proceeds benefitting the American Red Cross relief efforts across the state.
The matchup, which will be played as scheduled in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, is the only game in Florida this weekend.
“Our thoughts and prayers remain with the many thousands in the Southwest Florida region who have been severely impacted by Hurricane Ian. We are also very thankful that the Tampa Bay area was spared the most damaging consequences of this powerful storm,” a statement from the Buccaneers said. “We have informed the NFL, after consulting with local and state agencies, that we are ready to play Sunday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium as originally scheduled.”

The NFL is also selling a line of "Florida Strong" t-shirts for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and Buccaneers online. The league said it will not retain profits from the sale of the products, and the NFL foundation will grant the funds raised to the American Red Cross.
