Miami Dolphins DT Christian Wilkins ejected for throwing punch in Bills game
It took just two plays into the game, but Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Christian Wilkins hit the showers early.
In Sunday’s contest against the Buffalo Bills, Wilkins was ejected shortly after the second play from scrimmage, an incomplete pass, for throwing a punch against Bills offensive tackle Cody Ford.
During the play, Ford appeared to remain engaged with Wilkins to complete his block. The action of the play did die down, but Ford remained engaged. Ford did appear to eventually let up after the whistle. Wilkins, however, threw a quick, right-handed punch that looked like it connected on Ford’s helmet.
Wilkins was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and then was disqualified from the game.
Wilkins, 23, is a rookie first-round draft picks the Dolphins selected with the No. 13 overall selection. He has 18 total tackles this season.
