2025 NFL combine 40-yard dash tracker: Who ran the fastest this year?

The NFL combine means it's time for the top draft prospects to start their engines for the 40-yard dash.
Events during the NFL combine allow players to display their raw physical abilities in front of coaches and general managers of all 32 NFL teams. While there's no exact correlation between the drill and production at the NFL level, the 40-yard dash garners the most attention of all these tests.
This drill gives NFL hopefuls the best chance to display their straight-line speed. Skill-position players on offense can show off their breakaway speed to make a big play. Meanwhile, defensive players can prove they can cover every inch of the 57,600 square feet on the football field.
Not every draft prospect ran the 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL combine but some notable players who did run popped off the screen. Some, like Isaiah Bond, did not run as fast as they had hoped.

What is the NFL combine 40-yard dash record?
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy set an NFL combine record in the 40-yard dash last year with a time of 4.21 seconds.
Worthy's run broke the record fellow wide receiver John Ross III set at the 2017 NFL combine of 4.22 seconds. Ross went on to be drafted with the ninth overall pick by the Bengals in 2017, and the Chiefs traded up to draft Worthy with the 28th overall pick last year.
