The 2025 NFL draft is just over a week away, and it's becoming clearer how the first few picks will unfold.

The Tennessee Titans seem locked into Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick. The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants are both trending toward passing on a quarterback like Shedeur Sanders while the New England Patriots seem likely to take a tackle prospect if Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter are off the board.

These likelihoods are reflected in the pick-by-pick draft odds being posted by major sportsbooks. They have posted odds for the first eight picks of the 2025 NFL draft, and the first seven picks all feature a clear-cut betting favorite to be chosen.

How do the sportsbooks see the first eight picks of the 2025 NFL draft playing out? Here's a mini-mock featuring their latest projections.

1. Tennessee Titans

  • Projected pick: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
  • Odds: -10000
  • Implied probability: 99.01%

There isn't much mystery surrounding the No. 1 overall pick at this stage in the 2025 NFL draft cycle. Sportsbooks are giving Ward greater than a 99% chance to be the Titans' pick at No. 1 overall. Tennessee is in need of a quarterback upgrade and Ward's combination of arm talent, mobility and leadership have endeared him to the team. It would be shocking if the Miami product isn't the top selection in this year's draft.

2. Cleveland Browns

  • Projected pick: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
  • Odds: -350
  • Implied probability: 77.78%

The draft begins, in earnest, with the Browns. While they have been tied to Shedeur Sanders and Abdul Carter at times during the draft process, the latest reports indicate Hunter may be their preferred target.

Hunter is a rare, two-way star who won the Heisman after racking up 96 catches, 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns as a receiver while adding 36 tackles, 4 interceptions and 11 pass defenses as a cornerback. Cleveland may prefer to use Hunter more as a receiver, but the Browns could undoubtedly find a way to utilize his rare versatility.

3. New York Giants

  • Projected pick: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
  • Odds: -250
  • Implied probability: 71.43%

Will the Giants take a quarterback at No. 3 overall? Sportsbooks don't believe so. Carter has emerged as the team's top projected target while Hunter (+275) also has shorter odds than Sanders (+500) to be New York's selection.

Carter had 12 sacks and an FBS-leading 24 TFL during his final season at Penn State. The athletic playmaker will remind many of Micah Parsons thanks to his strong pass rushing skills and his ability to play quality snaps both on the edge and as a stand-up middle linebacker.

4. New England Patriots

  • Projected pick: Will Campbell, OT, LSU
  • Odds: -165
  • Implied probability: 62.26%

If the Patriots miss out on Hunter and Carter, they are expected to select an offensive tackle. They need to find an upgrade over Vederian Lowe on the left side while adding a successor to free-agent signee Morgan Moses on the right side.

Campbell started at left tackle for three seasons at LSU, where was a steady blocker with good movement skills. There are concerns about Campbell's length – or lack thereof – but his experience on the left side makes him more of a natural left tackle option over Armand Membou, the other tackle expected to go early in the 2025 NFL draft.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Projected pick: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
  • Odds: -130
  • Implied probability: 56.52%

Graham has frequently been connected to the Jaguars in the pre-draft process. Jacksonville's new general manager, James Gladstone, came over from the Los Angeles Rams, a team that frequently bolstered the trenches with its early draft picks.

Graham is a high-motor player who had career-best 45 tackles and 3.5 sacks in his final season at Michigan. The All-American is viewed as a safe bet to become a productive NFL player, so he could be a good option for the talent-needy Jaguars.

6. Las Vegas Raiders

  • Projected pick: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
  • Odds: -145
  • Implied probability: 59.18%

It's interesting that BetMGM feels slightly stronger about Jeanty landing with the Raiders than it does Graham landing with the Jaguars. The Boise State product would undoubtedly be a great fit in Pete Carroll's run-heavy offense, and he would be a major upgrade over the team's current backfield leader, the 33-year-old Raheem Mostert.

Jeanty ran led the FBS with 374 carries and 2,601 yards during his final season. He also scored 30 total touchdowns, helped the Broncos get to the College Football Playoff and finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting.

7. New York Jets

  • Projected pick: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
  • Odds: -115
  • Implied probability: 53.49%

ESPN's Rich Cimini reported Sunday the Jets were targeting one of Campbell, Membou or Tyler Warren with the No. 7 pick. Fittingly, the two still on the board, Membou and Warren, are the two favorites to be selected here.

The Jets have a big need at right tackle after losing Moses in free agency. Membou played on the right side at Missouri and would be a plug-and-play starter thanks to his thick 6-4, 332-pound frame.

8. Carolina Panthers

  • Projected pick: Jalon Walker, LB/EDGE, Georgia
  • Odds: +160
  • Implied probability: 38.46%

Carolina's pick is the first one that features a plus-money option as the favorite to be selected. That could be related to rumors the Panthers could seek a trade down, but it's also an indication that Carolina has many options with the No. 8 pick.

Walker has frequently been connected to the Panthers thanks to his hybrid skill set as a linebacker and edge rusher. His teammate Mykel Williams (+400) represents Carolina's second-most likely option, in BetMGM's estimation, so the Panthers may land a Georgia edge defender either way.
