Who will go No. 1 in 2025 NFL Draft? What experts are predicting

Who will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?
According to predictions from draft experts around the web, that's not a question with much doubt entering the first round of the draft on Thursday night. For weeks, there has been a full consensus among draft analysts on which player the Tennessee Titans will select to kick off this year's draft.
Tennessee is still in dire need of a franchise quarterback, and it holds the top pick in a draft class that features a clear top quarterback prospect. So there won't be much of a surprise if and when Miami (FL) product Cam Ward hears his name called first on Thursday night.
2025 NFL Draft: Expert predictions for No. 1 overall pick
Draft experts from around the web have made their predictions for which player will be the first off of the board in this year's draft. Here's what they said:
Nate Davis, Paste BN: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
Davis writes: "The AFC South’s cellar dwellers the past two seasons remain devoid of an answer behind center, opting not to pursue a proven veteran this offseason while retaining the No. 1 pick despite originally seeming open to dealing it – meaning all signs are pointing Ward toward Nashville."
Bucky Brooks, NFL.com: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
Brooks writes: "As the Titans' new franchise QB1, Ward would add the kind of talent, toughness and tenacity the franchise has lacked since Steve 'Air' McNair was under center in Tennessee."
Jordan Reid, ESPN: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
Reid writes: "All signs point to Tennessee selecting Ward with the No. 1 pick. Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter and Colorado receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter are both ranked higher on my board, but new general manager Mike Borgonzi appears ready to tie his early tenure to the top-ranked QB in this class."
Joe Rexrode, The Athletic: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
Rexrode writes: "The only drama here is the extent to which the Titans will overdramatize their possibilities before making a selection that has been obvious for weeks."
Danny Kelly, The Ringer: Cam Ward, QB, Miami (FL)
Kelly writes: "This pick seems to have been set in stone for weeks. The Titans get their new franchise quarterback, a dynamic playmaker with a strong arm, a confident persona, and some out-of-structure genius."
