Broncos 2025 NFL Draft picks: Everything to know from selections to draft needs

The Denver Broncos snapped a nine-year playoff drought in Sean Payton's second year in charge of the team.
The Broncos snuck into the NFL playoffs as the AFC's No. 7 seed after a 10-7 season during which Denver's defense ranked No. 1 overall in defensive EPA. Meanwhile, rookie quarterback Bo Nix proved to be a perfect fit in Payton's scheme and showed long-term upside at the quarterback position.
Still, Denver's season ended in disappointment, as the Buffalo Bills beat them soundly in a 31-7 wild-card blowout. That sent the Broncos back to the drawing board and searching for ways to upgrade their already strong roster.
The Broncos got off to a good start in free agency, landing two former San Francisco 49ers defenders, safety Talanoa Hufanga and linebacker Dre Greenlaw, on reasonable deals. Denver will continue to add to its roster in the draft, during which the team may have more of a focus on the offensive side of the ball.
Here's everything to know about the Broncos' draft outlook ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft:
Broncos 2025 NFL Draft picks
The Broncos have seven picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Here's the complete list:
- Round 1, Pick 20: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Analysis from Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis: The 2024 Jim Thorpe Award winner’s ability to flex between outside corner, the slot and safety should make him quite a weapon in a secondary that already features reigning Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II.
- Round 2, Pick 60 (from Detroit): RJ Harvey, RB, UCF
Analysis from Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis: A compact player (5-8, 205) with 4.4 speed, Harvey can also rack up numbers – rushing for 1,577 yards (6.8 per carry) and 22 TDs last season. And a sputtering Broncos rushing attack certainly needed a new leading man.
- Round 3, Pick 74 (from Panthers): Pat Bryant, WR, Illinois
Analysis from Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis: He only had 54 catches in 2024, but averaged 18.2 yards per and 82 per game. At 6-2 and 204 pounds with 4.6 speed, he won’t terrify defenders, though his 37½-inch vertical enhances his ball skills. Bryant should be able to compete for snaps given Courtland Sutton currently appears the only entrenched starter here.
- Round 3, Pick 101 (from Panthers): Sai'Vion Jones, edge, LSU
Analysis from Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis: A high-motor guy with some decent production in Baton Rouge (11 ½ sacks the past 3 seasons), he’ll likely have to fight for a rotational role right now given the depth and quality of Denver’s D.
- Round 4, Pick 134: Que Robinson, EDGE, Alabama
- Round 6, Pick 216: Jeremy Crawshaw, P, Florida
Broncos 2025 NFL Draft needs
Running back
Javonte Williams led the Broncos with 513 rushing yards last season. He joined the Dallas Cowboys in free agency, but Denver needed a workhorse upgrade over him anyway. The Broncos could target a first-round talent like Omarion Hampton to occupy that role or use one of their Day 2 picks to find a partner for Jaleel McLaughlin (4.4 yards per carry in 2024) in what many believe is a deep class.
Wide receiver
Marvin Mims Jr. emerged as a game-breaking speed threat for the Broncos last season, but Denver could still use a third receiving weapon to go with him and No. 1 wide-out Courtland Sutton. If one of Tetairoa McMillan or Matthew Golden doesn't make it to Denver's 20th selection, Emeka Egbuka and Luther Burden III should both be on the board.
Tight end
The Broncos signed Evan Engram to a two-year deal after the Jacksonville Jaguars released him, but Denver could still stand to use some depth and talent at the position. Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland could both be on the board for Denver's first-round pick and either would be a strong do-it-all weapon to pair with Nix.
Broncos 2025 NFL mock draft
Here's what the Broncos could do come draft night, according to Paste BN Sports' Ayrton Ostly:
- Round 1, Pick 20: WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State
- There are few players more pro-ready than Egbuka. Denver welcomes a polished, plug-and-play weapon in the slot who should be a contributor immediately in the passing game.
- Round 2, Pick 51: RB Quinshon Judkins, Ohio State
- The Broncos opt for the more powerful of the Buckeyes' two running backs in the draft. Judkins' abilities as a wide receiver out of the backfield should work well in the Broncos' offense alongside second-year back Audric Estime.
- Round 3, Pick 85: S Andrew Mukuba, Texas
- Round 4, Pick 122: CB Caleb Ransaw, Tulane
- Round 6, Pick 191: Edge Jah Joyner, Minnesota
- Round 6, Pick 197: TE Orande Gadsden II, Syracuse
- Round 6, Pick 208: G Connor Colby, Iowa
