Chiefs 2025 NFL Draft picks: Full list of team's round-by-round selections

The Kansas City Chiefs had a chance to become the first team to three-peat as Super Bowl champions when they faced the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59.
The Chiefs came up short of that goal. The Eagles crushed them in a 40-22 blowout that sent Kansas City into the offseason needing to address the glaring weaknesses that ultimately undid the team.
Kansas City didn't have a lot of salary cap wiggle room during the offseason but still managed to retain some of its own talent, namely Nick Bolton and Trey Smith. It also added some other veterans, like Kristian Fulton and Jaylon Moore, to add depth at cornerback and offensive tackle respectively.
Still, Kansas City has some clear-cut needs to address during the 2025 NFL Draft. More than anything else, the team needs to add youth and talent to an aging roster to position itself for another Super Bowl run.
Here's everything to know about the Chiefs' draft outlook ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft:
Chiefs 2025 NFL Draft picks
The Chiefs have eight picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Here's the complete list:
- Round 1, Pick 32 (from PHI): Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio Stae
They couldn’t keep winging it at left tackle. Eventually, QB Patrick Mahomes was going to get supremely frustrated – or worse. Simmons, a large (6-5, 317) and very strong man, likely would have been a top-10 selection had he not suffered a torn patellar tendon last season. He seems on track to be ready for the upcoming campaign but should easily be worth the wait if not – and that could mean productive time for recently signed OT Jaylon Moore to prove he can hold down a spot on the left or right side of K.C.'s evolving O-line. – Nate Davis, Paste BN Sports
- Round 2, Pick 63: Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee
He had 9½ sacks and 10 TFLs working up the gut in the Vols’ D-line rotation. A 6-2, 291-pounder, Norman-Lott should make quite an inside tandem with Chris Jones in K.C. – Nate Davis, Paste BN Sports
- Round 3, Pick 66 (via Titans): Ashton Gillotte, Edge, Louisville
Analysis from Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis: As much as the Chiefs’ O-line was abused in the Super Bowl, they were also dissected and mauled on the defensive side, which is being heavily resourced Friday. Gillotte led the ACC with 11 sacks two years ago and could be a nice edge bookend to George Karlaftis.
- Round 3, Pick 85: Nohl Williams, CB, Cal
Analysis from Paste BN Sports' Nate Davis: An All-American last season, when he led the country with seven INTs, he could doubly help K.C.’s defense by allowing All-Pro CB Trent McDuffie to primarily go back into the slot.
- Round 4, Pick 133: Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State
Analysis from Paste BN Sports' Jacob Camenker: Royals ran a 4.42 40 and has a well-built 6-0, 205-pound frame. His combination of solid speed, burst and great body control should allow him to consistently separate from NFL defensive backs and develop into a quality weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
- Round 5, Pick 156: Jeffrey Bassa, LB, Oregon
- Round 7, Pick 228: Brashard Smith, RB, SMU
Chiefs 2025 NFL Draft needs
Offensive tackle
The Chiefs were forced to play Joe Thuney at left tackle during their Suer Bowl run. The All-Pro guard performed admirably out of position before struggling against a top-tier Eagles pass rush. The Chiefs signed Moore to a two-year, $30 million deal in free agency, but the former 49er has just 12 career starts. Competition is needed for him and right tackle Jawaan Taylor, who committed 17 penalties last season.
Defensive tackle
Chris Jones is one of the best interior defenders in the NFL, but the Chiefs could stand to add some depth and talent next to him after losing Tershawn Wharton and Derrick Nnadi in free agency. Kansas City could be positioned to land a top defensive tackle prospect like Walter Nolen or Derrick Harmon if the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft breaks in their favor.
Safety
The Chiefs could use depth at running back, receiver and tight end, but adding a replacement for Justin Reid, who joined the New Orleans Saints in free agency, should be a higher priority. Both Nick Emmanwori and Malaki Starks could be in play if they slide to the end of Round 1, with Emmanwori's profiling as a particularly solid replacement for the hard-hitting Reid.
Chiefs 2025 NFL mock draft
Here's what the Chiefs could do come draft night, according to Paste BN Sports' Ayrton Ostly:
- Round 1, Pick 31: DT Walter Nolen, Ole Miss
- The Chiefs' interior defensive line lost multiple players to free agency. In Nolen, the Chiefs get a potential impact starter with elite burst who needs development to maximize his tools and flashes of dominance.
- Round 2, Pick 63: TE Elijah Arroyo, Miami
- The Miami product will likely fall down the order in Round 2 due to injury concerns. Kansas City's not shied away from good players with medical concerns before (e.g. Trey Smith) and his upside as a mismatch in the passing game could be a great fit for the Chiefs.
- Round 3, Pick 66: CB Dorian Strong, Virginia Tech
- Round 3, Pick 95: Edge Jack Sawyer, Ohio State
- Round 4, Pick 133: OT Jalen Rivers, Miami
- Round 7, Pick 226: RB Raheim Sanders, South Carolina
- Round 7, Pick 251: S Hunter Wohler, Wisconsin
- Round 7, Pick 257: LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson
