Zach Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles agree to five-year extension
The Philadelphia Eagles and tight end Zach Ertz agreed to a five-year extension, the team announced on Monday.
Financial details were not released by the Eagles, but published reports pin the extension that locks Ertz up through the 2021 season at $42.5 million with $20 million guaranteed.
Ertz, 25, finished with the sixth-most receptions (75) and seventh in receiving yardage (853 yards) among tight ends in 2015.
The extension makes Ertz the fourth-highest paid tight end behind Seattle's Jimmy Graham, Jacksonville’s Julius Thomas and New England’s Rob Gronkowski, according to salary-tracking site Sportac.
