Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert punched at South Dakota bar, per report


NFL player Dallas Goedert was taken to a hospital but not seriously injured following an incident Saturday night at a South Dakota bar.

According to reports from NJ.com and the Mitchell Republic, the Philadelphia Eagles tight end was at the Zoo Bar in Aberdeen, S.D., with his family when he was sucker-punched around 1 a.m. He was evaluated at the hospital and released, NJ.com reported.

Police were called to the scene and a suspect was arrested, according to ESPN

Goedert, a native of Britton, S.D., is entering his third NFL season after being selected by the Eagles out of South Dakota State in the third round of the 2018 draft.

He was the second-leading receiver on the team last season with 58 receptions for 607 yards and five touchdowns.
