Falcons holding WR Julio Jones out of practice

Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Julio Jones will not practice Wednesday as the team starts its preparation for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.
Jones aggravated an old injury to his toe in last week’s divisional-round win against the Seattle Seahawks. He did not play in the fourth quarter.
But that was mostly a precautionary move, as is this week’s limited practice schedule, head coach Dan Quinn said Wednesday.
“That’s by design,” Quinn said.
Jones was allowed to participate in a walk-through session earlier on Wednesday, and Quinn said the plan is for Jones to return to practice later this week, which should clear the way for Jones to play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
