The Atlanta Falcons will be without one of their contributors in the secondary for more than half of the season.
Cornerback Jalen Collins has been suspended 10 games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the Falcons announced Sunday.
Collins served a four-game suspension last year for a similar violation.
With Desmond Trufant sidelined down the stretch of the Falcons' Super Bowl run, Collins started six regular-season games and recorded two interceptions.
Trufant and Robert Alford were expected to be the starters at cornerback even prior to Collins' suspension.
