The Atlanta Falcons will be without top cornerback A.J. Terrell against the Carolina Panthers.

Terrell didn't practice this week due to a hamstring injury. He suffered the injury in Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Falcons ruled him out for the remainder of the game and turned to practice squad signee Cornell Armstrong.

Terrell has 29 tackles and a fumble recovery in seven starts this season.

PREDICTIONS: Who will win in Week 8 between the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers?

Injuries have decimated the Falcons secondary. The Falcons are also without fellow cornerback Casey Heyward and safety Jaylinn Hawkins. Reserve defensive back Dee Alford is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury as well.

The Panthers will take aim at the secondary. Carolina receiver DJ Moore has developed a rhythm with backup quarterback P.J. Walker. Moore had seven catches for 69 yards and a touchdown last week.

The Falcons (3-4) and Panthers (2-5) will face off on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta is favored for the first time all year.

The Falcons were blown out by Cincinnati in Week 7, while the Panthers shocked the NFL world by upsetting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just a few days after trading away running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Robbie Anderson.

The two teams released their final injury reports on Friday and each has ruled out a key player. The Panthers have ruled out running back Chuba Hubbard for Sunday’s matchup.
