Which big names can carry you the way Josh Allen and Jared Goff did last week? The matchups are intriguing … and you may be forced to count on some under-the-radar players to get you across the finish line. Good luck!

Fantasy football rankings for Week 16 are based on the point-per-reception (PPR) scoring used in most seasonal and daily fantasy football formats. One point is awarded for every 10 rushing and receiving yards and one point for every 20 passing yards. Six points are awarded for touchdowns scored, four points for passing TDs and one point for receptions.

Fantasy football Week 16 quarterback rankings

Patrick Mahomes has been diagnosed with a "mild" high-ankle sprain and is considered week-to-week. However, he did go through a full practice on Tuesday. If Mahomes doesn't play, Carson Wentz would get the start on Saturday vs. the Texans. Consider Wentz a top-20 QB option if he starts.
The Falcons have benched Kirk Cousins and are going with rookie Michael Penix Jr. against the Giants and "moving forward."
The Browns have announced Dorian Thompson-Robinson will replace Jameis Winston as the team's starter Sunday at Cincinnati.
In last Sunday's game, Justin Herbert (ankle) appeared to aggravate an injury he's been dealing with for several weeks. He was listed as a limited participant Monday and will have a short week with the Chargers hosting the Broncos on Thursday.
Geno Smith (knee) left Sunday's game early after taking a low hit. Tests revealed no major damage; he's expected to be able to practice and play on Sunday vs. the Vikings.

Fantasy football Week 16 running back rankings

Alvin Kamara (groin) had an MRI that revealed an adductor strain. The Saints won't have an official practice until Thursday since they play Monday night. Stay tuned.
Kenneth Walker (calf) has missed the past two games, but is looking to be able to practice Wednesday.
David Montgomery (knee) will undergo surgery for a torn MCL and miss the rest of the season. Jahmyr Gibbs will take on a larger role in the offense, according to coach Dan Campbell.

Zach Ertz has been placed in the concussion protocol after leaving Sunday's game in the second quarter.
