Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul ruled out with groin injury

PITTSBURGH – New York Giants end Jason Pierre-Paul walked gingerly to the locker room late in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with what the team called a groin injury.

He was later ruled out for the remainder of the game.

It didn’t appear there was much, if any, contact on the play JPP was hurt with 1:35 left in the second quarter.

Re-signed to a one-year deal after a 2015 season shortened by a fireworks accident that cost him part of multiple fingers, Pierre-Paul has been a difference-maker for the Giants this season, with seven sacks through the first 11 games.
