Giants co-owner John Mara 'very unhappy' with Odell Beckham Jr.'s touchdown celebration

One day after New York Giants coach Ben McAdoo sought to move on from discussions about Odell Beckham Jr.'s touchdown celebration, co-owner John Mara is striking a different tone.
Mara said Tuesday in an email to The New York Post that he was displeased with the Beckham's actions in a 24-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, during which the wide receiver was penalized for celebrating a touchdown by crawling on all fours and pretending to urinate like a dog.
“I do not want to get into a discussion about this,” Mara told The Post, “but I will say that I am very unhappy with Odell’s behavior on Sunday and we intend to deal with it internally.”
Beckham, who later raised a fist after his second touchdown of the day, later suggested on Twitter that his initial celebration was a response to President Trump, who last Friday called any NFL player who would not stand for the national anthem "a son of a b----."

He did not mention Trump in his postgame explanation to reporters.
"I was in the end zone. I scored a touchdown," Beckham said. "I'm a dog so I acted like a dog. I don't know if the rulebook said you can't hike your leg. (The ref) said I peed on somebody, so I was trying to find the imaginary ghost that I peed on. But I didn't see him."
McAdoo said the 15-yard penalty "doesn't help our team" but did not address the celebration further when asked Monday.
"We should be talking about the way he played," McAdoo said. "He made some great plays in the ball game yesterday, some tremendous plays, game-changing plays. I'd rather be talking about that than the celebration penalty."
